Tamara Shvediuk
Tamara Shvediuk is a film historian, archivist and film restorer, curator, and specialist in film preservation and lost films. She studied "History and Criticism of Cinema" at the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television. From 2019 to 2025 she worked at Gosfilmofond, the Russian state film archive, first as senior curator and later as deputy director of collections. She has curated restoration projects and programmes for various events, including the "Il Cinema Ritrovato" festival in Bologna, and has collaborated with archives and institutions such as the Cineteca di Bologna, the Cinémathèque royale de Belgique, and the San Francisco Silent Film Festival. She is also the author and host of a YouTube series dedicated to identifying unidentified silent films. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Moscow State Institute of Art Studies.
