Federico Striuli is a silent film historian, programme curator, restorer, and specialist in the preservation of film heritage. He completed an inter-university PhD in Art History and Film Studies between Ca' Foscari University and IUAV University of Venice in 2015, with a thesis on pre-cinematic technologies. He has spoken at conferences in Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Russia, and regularly collaborates with international film festivals such as the Giornate del Cinema Muto in Pordenone, where he is currently co-curating a programme dedicated to unidentified silent films. He serves as technical-scientific coordinator of the project "Seeing the Unseen."
