Altremuse was founded in 2020 to make space for alternative narratives and perspectives in Art History and visual culture. On the one hand, it does so by cultivating diversified critical approaches; on the other, by keeping firmly in mind that, if the medium is truly the message, then it cannot do without bending towards a direct, contemporary, and cross-disciplinary language. We are an editorial platform that experiments with new forms of storytelling in dialogue with a broad audience. We are a creative studio specialising in the world of art and culture. We collaborate with cultural institutions and artistic organisations to create audiovisual content and narrative formats that translate a critical vision of art into contemporary and shareable experiences. We work in curating and cultural programming, applying our theoretical approach to public programmes, live performances, and interdisciplinary projects.
