Julia Lammer

Julia Lammer brings together a strategic, analytical, and business-driven mindset with creativity, expertise, and a deep appreciation for artistic practices and cultures. She thrives on initiating new projects and guiding them from concept to completion—whether developing a capital campaign or producing a large-scale exhibition. Julia is the Associate Director of Arts Ideas Realised, a London-based collective of cultural advisors, and co-founder of arbulu studio.

Her professional background spans institutions of different scales, from MoMA PS1 in New York to establishing the largest young patrons’ programme in London at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Within A-I-R’s strategic consultancy, Julia has advised on development strategies, capital campaigns, and business models for cultural organisations including Camden Art Centre, Black Cultural Archives, and Gaia Art Foundation. She also works closely with individual philanthropists, such as the Mubarak Ali Foundation in Bangladesh, and manages the philanthropy group Friends of the Austrian Pavilion in Venice on behalf of the Austrian Ministry of Culture.

Acknowledging the climate emergency as one of today’s most pressing challenges, and convinced of the transformative power of art, Julia collaborates with artists and initiatives at the intersection of culture and sustainability, including Parley for the Oceans, CultureCOP, and Music Declares Emergency. Born in Vienna, she studied Art History and Economics at the University of British Columbia and earned a Master’s degree in Visual Arts Administration at New York University. She is currently based between Lisbon and London.
