Alice Cappelli

Alice Cappelli, Social Designer, holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Industrial Design of Products. She is currently a PhD candidate in Design for Made in Italy: Identity, Innovation, and Sustainability, within a national interest doctoral program. Her professional experience develops within the third sector, where she has been involved in strategic projects for territories that are sustainable from social, economic, and environmental perspectives.
Since 2005, she has engaged in scientific and professional activities in educational and work contexts across Brazil, Morocco, Rwanda, Tunisia, Uganda, Benin, San Marino, and Italy. Initially as a student, she later took on roles as a researcher and professional, collaborating with various stakeholders such as universities, companies, organizations, and social cooperatives.

The common thread in her experiences is the strategic role of Design as a tool for participatory planning aimed at creating social and economic networks through culture and its material and immaterial heritage.Her professional journey has been shaped within multidisciplinary and intercultural teams, whose objectives focus on designing products, services, and social/economic systems. She has developed skills both as a designer and as a project coordinator, demonstrating excellent relational abilities.Her ongoing scientific research and interest in her field enable her to maintain active collaborations with diverse actors for the development of projects, workshops, conferences, courses, and research in the areas of Sustainability, Strategic Design, and Community Design.
