The University of the Republic of San Marino (UniRSM), founded in 1985, is the principal higher education institution of the Republic of San Marino. Its academic activity began with the creation of the Higher School of Historical Studies in 1988, which soon became known for its distinguished doctoral program in history and interdisciplinary studies. The university is structured into three main departments: Economics, Sciences and Law; Human Sciences; and History and Sammarinese Culture. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, many in collaboration with Italian universities, and has established itself as a small but significant center of research and education, particularly in the humanities and historical studies.
