La Campanara

La Campanara is a charming Slow Food-certified osteria with an adjoining locanda nestled in the hamlet of Pianetto, in Galeata (Forlì-Cesena, Emilia-Romagna). Housed in a stone building that once served as the parish canonical residence, opposite the 16th-century church of Santa Maria dei Miracoli, it’s the passion project of Roberto (a geometra) and Alessandra (a teacher), who around 2004 transformed it from a dilapidated structure into a warm, welcoming place dedicated to good food and authentic hospitality. Their cuisine emphasizes local, seasonal ingredients sourced from small producers, reclaiming traditional recipes and valuing transparency about where food comes from. The locanda offers individually styled rooms, each retaining character from the old building—stone walls, traditional materials, rustic details—while incorporating comfort, a garden, and amenities like a pool. Beyond being a restaurant and inn, La Campanara is a cultural and sensorial haven: quiet, rooted in its landscape, with a sense of time slowed, where visitors come not just to eat, but to belong.
