Os-servo is a collective founded in the Upper Bidente Valley after the floods and landslides of 2023, born from the need to re-establish an active connection with the territory and the communities inhabiting it. The name comes from ob (“to go towards”) and servare (“to guard”), evoking the idea of observing with responsibility what surrounds us.
The collective works with a multidisciplinary and intergenerational approach, using different languages and practices—documentary cinema, trekking, workshops, moments of dialogue—to address issues related to the relationship between people, environment, and community. Among its activities, the Os-servo Festival is a key occasion to put these methods into practice: a traveling summer program of documentary cinema that weaves together screenings, walks, and encounters in collaboration with associations and local organizations active in the area.
The goal is to build collective spaces of care, listening, and dialogue, capable of imagining more conscious and resilient ways of inhabiting the world in the face of the environmental and social upheavals that affect us.
