Gu Zhen-Qing
Born in Shanghai, China in 1964. Graduated from the History Department of Fudan University, Shanghai, China in 1987. Worked as the chief curator of Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art from 2003 to 2005 and the director of the 2004 Chinese Contemporary Art Awards. Served as the chief curator and executive director of Zhu Qizhan Art Museum from 2006 to 2007, and as chief editor of the art magazine Visual Production from 2006 to 2008. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as art director of White Box Museum of Art, 798, Beijing, China. Between 2009 and 2016, he was artistic director of Li-Space Culture & Arts Center, Beijing, China. From 2014 to 2016, he served as academic director of Jia Pingwa Museum of Culture & Arts, Xi’an, China. From 2018 to 2020, he was guest associate professor in the sculpture department of National Taiwan Art University, Taipei, Taiwan. Since 2021, he has been a guest professor at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, China. He currently lives and works in Beijing.
