Francesco Manacorda

Francesco Manacorda, born in 1974 in Turin, Italy, is a prominent curator and art director. He earned a degree in Humanities from the University of Turin and a Master’s in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art in London. Over his career, he has held key roles in the international art world, including at the Barbican Art Gallery in London, as Director of Artissima in Turin, and as Artistic Director at Tate Liverpool. He also led the V-A-C Foundation before being appointed Director of Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea in January 2024. Manacorda has curated large-scale exhibitions, biennials, and national pavilions, and has been involved in art education and writing, bringing together critical theory and curatorial practice.
