Alessia Martella

Alessia Martella is an anthropologist and MA student in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology at the University of Bologna, where she is specializing in visual anthropology. After earning a degree in Cultural Heritage, she oriented her research toward the anthropology of landscape, inland areas, and territories in crisis, with particular attention to reciprocal relationships between human communities and the environment. She lives in the Bidente Valley, where she develops cultural practices linked to local research, and is co-founder of Os-servo, a collective established after the 2023 floods and landslides. With a multidisciplinary and intergenerational approach, Os-servo combines documentary cinema, trekking, workshops, and dialogue to address the relationship between people, environment, and community. Among its activities, the collective’s summer itinerant festival brings together screenings, walks, and encounters, creating shared spaces of care, listening, and exchange.
