Yuheng Zhao is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Renmin University of China. His research spans development economics, labor economics, and economic history, with specific interest in topics like human capital formation, inequality, and structural transformation — particularly in the Chinese context. He received his B.A. and M.A. in Economics from Peking University and completed his Ph.D. at Boston University. His work makes use of survey, administrative, and archival data, and he investigates how public reforms, gender disparity, and institutional changes shape growth and welfare.
