Marianna Dobkowska

Marianna Dobkowska is a Polish art historian and curator based in Warsaw, whose practice centers on socially engaged art, residencies, and cross-disciplinary collaboration between visual arts, performance, education, and activism. Holding an M.A. in Art History from the University of Warsaw and postgraduate studies in curating at the Jagiellonian University, she has co-curated the residency program at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle and initiated projects such as Re-Directing: East, Social Design for Social Living (2015–2016), and Gotong Royong. Things We Do Together (2017–2018), which highlight collective processes and community participation. Her work has been recognized through grants and fellowships from institutions including the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Backers Foundation in Tokyo, CEC ArtsLink in New York, and the Getty Foundation.
