Ozoz Sokoh
Heritage as a Living Memory

Ozoz Sokoh (born 1976 in Warri, Nigeria) is a food writer, food historian, culinary anthropologist, and researcher. She is the creator of Kitchen Butterfly and Feast Afrique, platforms dedicated to documenting and celebrating Nigerian and West African foodways and their diasporic connections. She holds a degree in Geology from the University of Liverpool. After years working abroad, blogging, and exploring culinary heritage, she moved into projects that blend food, culture, identity, and history. Her work includes research, writing, recipe development, exhibitions, and public programs, especially through her ongoing project “Coast to Coast: From West Africa to the World.” She lives in Canada.
