Claudia Collina

Claudia Collina is Head of the Office for the Valorization of Cultural Heritage within the Cultural Heritage Department of the Directorate-General for Knowledge, Research, Work, and Enterprises of the Emilia-Romagna Region, where she manages regional laws 2/2022, 3/2016, 16/2014, and 21/2022, the PatER catalog, and all special projects, such as centenary celebrations.
Married, she graduated with honors in Art History from the University of Bologna, where she also obtained a specialization with honors in Art History and Minor Arts with a focus on contemporary art. She is listed in the registers of professionals of the Ministry of Culture (MIC) as a first-level Art Historian. Since 2000, she has worked for the Emilia-Romagna Region, conducting and curating six major surveys, databases, and publications including The Places of Contemporary Art in Emilia-Romagna. Twentieth-Century and Beyond Arts, The One Percent for Art in Emilia-Romagna: Law of July 29, 1949, No. 717: Applications and Evolutions of the 2% on the Territory, ER Design: The Aesthetics of the Everyday in Emilia-Romagna’s Cultural Institutions, Houses and Studios of Eminent Figures of Emilia-Romagna, and Artists’ Studios. She conceived and curated the biennial exhibition series Vie di dialogo and the permanent exhibition EmERgenze contempoRaNee at the City Museum of Rimini, and coordinated the integrated valorization of cultural heritage on the occasion of centenary celebrations dedicated to Aldo Borgonzoni, the Unification of Italy, Alessandro Guardassoni, Dante Alighieri, and Felice Giani (ongoing). A member of ICOM (International Council of Museums), where she has served as Regional Coordinator for Emilia-Romagna since 2023, she has also been a volunteer lecturer in Communicative Processes for the Final Synthesis Laboratory of the Product Design Degree Program at the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering of the University of Bologna. She was part of the Study Group and Scientific Committee of Art and Public Space, organized by the Ministry of Culture and the School of Cultural Heritage and Activities Foundation, within which she created, in collaboration with ICCD, the pilot form Cultural Space, now being tested on PatER, within the Gothic Line project. She is an expert in art and minor arts at the Bologna Chamber of Commerce and, since 1995, has served as an auxiliary consultant for the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Cultural Heritage – Bologna Headquarters. She has curated several books, exhibitions, and conferences and has published more than one hundred works, from the Neoclassical period to the present.
She is a member of ICOM Italy and, since 2023, Coordinator of ICOM Emilia-Romagna.
