Francesca Velani
She is Vice President of Promo PA Foundation and Director of LuBeC – Lucca Cultural Heritage. From 2017 to 2022, she was the Coordinator of Parma, Italian Capital of Culture 2020+21. She oversees projects and research that place culture at the center of public-private actions and policies for culturally based regional development. She identifies culture and cultural participation as the foundation for the development of a new welfare system, a factor of innovation and competitiveness for the country's entrepreneurial system and its creativity, a generative element of social cohesion and sustainability, and a crucial component for achieving the sustainability goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. In this context, she promoted the shared Manifesto for Cultural Welfare.
